George Zimmerman to Appear in Court – Opinion

George Zimmerman to Appear in Court – NYTimes.com. It seems Zimmerman has now been charged with 2nd degree murder and is being held in jail for review by a judge if he is eligible for bail.  Its been a tragic case that has stirred up much anguish and anger around the country, on the murder of a young teenage boy whose only crime was being outside in a hoodie returning from the store with skittles and ice tea.

After Zimmerman made a call to the police to report it, he continued on to chase Trayvon Martin, and in a fight that occurred without witnesses Trayvon was killed. The public outcry for an arrest and an investigation has brought a lot of criticism to the Florida police.

It just seems that the time it has taken to investigate and the lack of effort the police made to look into the crime is appalling, a teenager was killed by a man who thought he was the law. It’s a shame for this to happen and an even larger disgrace to have wait for the arrest and investigation.  I hope justice is served and Zimmerman get the life sentence for the life he took.
