Juan Alfredo Morales, researcher for the Departamento de Ciencias Tecnológicas del Centro Universitario de la Ciénega (CUCIénega) has created a new series of numbers called trierniones.

These numbers are composed of three parts, if you remember from your days in algebra, contain one Real Number and two sets of imaginary numbers. The application of these numbers are of particular use in the field of computer science in particular artificial intelligence.

Its application could extend to complex systems such as aeronautical designs, neural networks, image processing and cryptology.
