Chromebook laptop on sale

The Chromebook is finally out on the market. After almost a year of buzz on this laptop it seems there are three suppliers that are going to be handling these laptops from Google, Amazon.com, Best Buy and TigerDirect.com are going to be the main suppliers. Now the Chrome operating system is toted as being the only system complete cloud based, and I gather that from what they have built with chrome this is going to be something worthwhile to have. Google is taking a major step in competing against Microsoft and Apple in the market of operating systems. What is yet to be seen is how Chrome handles itself off-line when you are not connected. The laptops come in two models, Acer and Samsung.

The Samsung 12.1 display with 2Gb memory and a 16GB solid state drive comes in two options the 3G option with a $449 price tag, and a just a plain WI-Fi version priced at $349.
