Manny Pacquaio defeated Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez

Filipino boxer Manny Pacquaio this Saturday defeated the Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez in a World Boxing Organization welterweight title bout. If you didn’t watch the fight it was a good fight but something we expected more from.

As an occasional boxing spectator I’ve heard of Pacquaio fighting style and strength and wanted to watch this fight. It was good a good match with some good sparing moments but the final win of Pacquaio over Marquez was a bit of a surprise. It just didn’t seem like Pacquaio won, even Pacquaio’s expression during the final two rounds and the wait for the announcement by the judges to decide the winner was of defeat. It wasn’t even as Pacquaio gave it his all, and it showed he didn’t expect to win. There was no look of relief of a close match in the end the judges decided on his favor was very surprising to all of us, including him.

In all this match will definitly be debated for weeks, and hopefully after some in-depth analysis we can decide who in fact one. For now I think Marquez definitely did a better job and had more dominance in this fight, but I guess that is to be debated.
